GALACTIC Iris notebook

galactic-notebook-iris [1] [2] is a package illustrating the use of GALACTIC for analyzing the Iris dataset.

GALACTIC stands for GAlois LAttices, Concept Theory, Implicational systems and Closures.

The GALACTIC icon has been constructed using icons present in the free star wars icons set designed by Sensible World. The product or characters depicted in these icons are © by Disney / Lucasfilm.

It’s a tribute to the French mathematician Évariste Galois who died at age 20 in a duel. In France, Concept Lattices are also called Galois Lattices.
